Last week marked a very special occasion here at WKS. We were honoured to be joined by our Circuit Manager, Mrs. Ngubane, who officially announced that Mr. Sewpersadh has been appointed as the Principal of Wartburg Kirchdorf School .
The announcement was made during a school assembly filled with smiles, cheers, and heartfelt congratulations from learners and staff alike . The joy and excitement were felt throughout the hall and staffroom!
We are so proud and thankful to have Mr. Sewpersadh at the helm, and we pray that God continues to guide and bless him as he leads WKS into this new chapter .

Our 1st Team Hockey Girls were crowned Regional Champions at the Umvoti and uThukela Regional of the SPAR KZN School Girls Hockey Challenge yesterday!
Their journey to the title included a solid round-robin performance—conceding just one goal across 5 matches, with 1 loss, 2 wins, and 2 draws. In a tense and exciting final against DSS, the girls delivered when it mattered most, securing a hard-fought 1–0 victory.
This incredible achievement earns them a well-deserved place in the Grand Finals, happening in just a few weeks' time.
We are beyond proud of their teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship.
Let’s go, girls – the final stage awaits!

Huge congratulations to Thulauzwe and Phiwokuhle Ntombela on being selected for the KZN Inland Hockey Team!
Your dedication, perseverance, and passion have truly paid off. We’re incredibly proud of you both—keep striving for excellence and representing WKS with pride!

Congratulations to Thulauzwe Ntombela, who has been selected to join the Into Africa Sports Invitational Squad touring the Netherlands from 6–16 October 2025!
Chosen from the SPAR regional tournament and as the only girl from her school, Thulauzwe’s exceptional talent and team spirit have earned her this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent South Africa on the global stage.
We’re so proud of you, Thulauzwe!

Yesterday, our learners proudly supported Reach for a Dream by participating in Slipper Day!
This heartwarming initiative helps make dreams come true for children fighting life-threatening illnesses.
By swapping school shoes for slippers , our learners stepped into kindness and showed their support for a truly meaningful cause.

Over the weekend, we were delighted to welcome back the Class of 1980 as they celebrated their 45th reunion. The group joined us for tea and enjoyed a tour around the school, where they were impressed by the many developments and changes that have taken place over the years.
Before their visit to the school, they had the special privilege of reconnecting with 11 of their former teachers—an experience they truly cherished.
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Elona Hillermann for thoughtfully arranging this memorable visit
