Admissions for 2027 are still open, and spaces are filling steadily.

Wartburg Kirchdorf School offers a unique opportunity for learners to grow in a structured, values-driven environment, with the added benefit of private boarding facilities. Our boarding provides a safe, supportive home away from home, where learners are guided, cared for, and encouraged to thrive both academically and personally.

The Emeris Wartburg Rugby, Hockey and Netball Tournament was a highlight event for our school calendar. Our Netball girls were crowned as the Emeris Wartburg Netball Champions and remained undefeated throughout the tournament. A huge congratulation to the netball girls! We are incredibly proud of all our teams that participated in the tournament: Rugby, girls’ hockey and boys’ hockey team.

A huge congratulations to Kokstad College for their win in Rugby, Girls Hockey and Boys Hockey. We were incredibly honoured to host all the schools that participated.

The tournament would not be possibly with the great support given by our sponsors:

Happy World Book Day!

In celebration of this special day, our Primary School learners took part in a wonderful book swap. Learners brought in their pre-loved books and donated them to the school, receiving a ticket for each book they contributed.

All the books were then displayed in the art room, where learners used their tickets to choose and take home “new” books to enjoy. It was a joyful way to encourage reading and sharing.

Our Grade 1 learners enjoyed a delightful excursion to the Pietermaritzburg Model Engineering Society. The outing was filled with excitement and curiosity as the children had the opportunity to ride on the miniature trains, which quickly became the highlight of the day.

In addition to the rides, the learners were fascinated to discover many interesting facts about steam trains, including how they work and the unique names given to each one. The experience sparked their imaginations and deepened their appreciation for this classic form of engineering.

It was a joyful and enriching outing, filled with laughter, learning, and memorable moments. We truly enjoyed every second of this special day, and it was a valuable experience for all who attended.

Happy Earth Day!

Our learners took part in exciting, hands on activities that helped them understand the importance of caring for our planet. From practicing their aim by tossing litter into bins, to exploring how water evaporates through simple experiments, every moment was a chance to learn something new.

They also discovered how water can be cleaned and purified, gaining valuable insight into why safe, clean water is so important for our health and environment.

Creativity was in full bloom as learners expressed their love for the Earth through colourful drawings, each one telling a story about why our planet matters. They also learned why saving water is essential and how small actions can make a big difference.

One of the highlights of the day was rolling up their sleeves and taking action, picking up litter and helping to keep our environment clean. It was inspiring to see such enthusiasm and teamwork!

Earth Day at WKS is not just about learning, it is about having fun while becoming responsible, caring citizens of our planet.
