Activities & Sports
Every term, we have different sports as well as activities (clubs) here at WKS. Below are a few examples of what is available for your children to take part in. For more information about a particular sport or club, kindly contact us directly.
Girls & Boys Hockey
Hockey helps develop leadership skills, discipline and teamwork in the players. Being a team player is essential in any sport and hockey is no exception. The sport requires teamwork to succeed, which helps develop leadership and discipline.
Through participation and structured training, Rugby develops the key mental skills of self control, concentration, discipline, decision making and leadership. Such important skills transcend all aspects of daily life
Players need to trust each other and work together to win the game. Because players cannot move too much once they have the ball, they have to rely on their teammates to keep the ball moving in the right direction. It's important to keep eye-contact and clear verbal communication between players.
Cricket gets kids moving. They're out in the fresh air and they are doing loads of throwing, catching, and running. Kids get all the physical benefits of movement in the great outdoors.
Kids learn some important life lessons in athletics that can positively influence the rest of their lives, including how to work with others toward shared goals, how to be responsible and accountable, and how to keep trying when things get tough.
Boys & Girls Soccer
This beautiful game provides an opportunity for common ground. Soccer allows us to teach kids about life, fairness, choices, and what we choose to play for.
One of the clubs that is offered at WKS is the Boomwackers. A boomwacker is a light-weight, hollow plastic tube that creates musical notes. In this club, you can learn how to play and make music with the boomwackers. The learners have lots of fun making music and learning notes. They also learn how to work as a team and discover that whenever they work as a team, they create beautiful music.
